As a stay-at-home mom with three kids (and crumbs everywhere 😩), I’m always on the hunt for tools that can make cleaning faster, easier, and maybe even… kind of fun? So when I saw the Zippi Sweeper Pro making waves online, I had to give it a shot.
I’d actually tried the original Zippi Sweeper a while back but wasn’t impressed. So when they came out with this “Pro” version—rebranded, upgraded, and promising more power—I was cautiously hopeful. Spoiler alert: It didn’t quite sweep me off my feet.

About Zippi Sweeper Pro: Why is It Expensive?
The Zippi Sweeper Pro is marketed as a lightweight, cordless floor sweeper designed for various surfaces, including hardwood, tile, and short-pile carpets. Its unique triangular design aims to reach into corners and tight spaces, complemented by a built-in LED light for enhanced visibility. Key features include:
- Tri-Brush Technology: A 360-degree triple-rotating brush system designed to capture dust and dirt from all angles.
- Rechargeable Battery: Equipped with a 1500 mAh battery, it offers up to 60 minutes of cleaning time after a full charge, which takes approximately 10 hours.
- Lightweight and Compact: Weighing less than 3 lbs (1.8 kg), it’s designed for easy maneuverability and storage.
- Collapsible Handle: For convenient storage and ease of use.
Sold for $139, I placed an order on Amazon.com as I didn’t want to deal with the shipping hassles of shopping from the official brand website. And my order arrived swiftly.
First Impressions
Unboxing the Zippi Sweeper Pro, I was kind of excited. It’s lightweight, cordless, and has this cool triangular design that’s supposed to get into corners. The LED light on the front? Smart idea.
On Hard Floors
I started with my kitchen and hallway—lots of tile and wood floors.
✨ What worked: It picked up small crumbs, dust, and glitter (don’t ask) pretty well.
👎 What didn’t: Anything bigger—like cereal, dirt clumps, or leaves from the kids’ shoes—needed 3 or 4 passes. And the dust tray? Super tiny. I had to empty it halfway through.
Also, since there are no actual wheels, it kind of dragged across the floor awkwardly. Not great if you’re picky about scratches.
On Rugs & Carpet
This was the real test. Between a shedding pet and toddlers who live on the rug, I need something powerful.
Unfortunately… the Zippi Sweeper Pro just couldn’t keep up. 😕
➡️ It pushed a lot of stuff around instead of picking it up.
➡️ Hair wrapped around the brushes almost instantly.
➡️ I had to pull it apart and clean it out after every session.
Battery Life
It’s rechargeable, which is great in theory. But in reality?
Battery life was around 30 minutes—barely enough time to do one level of my house. And it started losing power toward the end, so suction (what little there was) got even weaker.
Pros
✅ Lightweight and easy to carry
✅ Cordless convenience
✅ Triangular head is great for corners
✅ LED light is helpful in dim spots
Cons
❌ Flimsy build—feels cheap
❌ Weak suction, especially on rugs
❌Battery dies fast
❌ Struggles with pet hair and bigger messes
Better Alternatives
If you’re on the hunt for something more reliable, here are a few vacuums that actually do the job:
- Bissell Featherweight Stick Vacuum – Budget-friendly and great for quick pickups
- Shark Navigator Lift-Away – Powerful and versatile, especially for bigger homes
- Dyson V8 Animal – Pricey, but pet hair doesn’t stand a chance 🐶
Final Thoughts
The Zippi Sweeper Pro is a better upgrade from its first version however the price and hype, I expected more. Would I recommend it? Not really—unless your cleaning needs are super light and your expectations low. The manufacturers should consider working on the flaws I observed and also doing the following;
- Create a hole in the handle for those who want to hang it up in their broom closet
- Make the directions for charging more explicit so people can know when it’s fully charged
